Everything Bagel Baked Chicken Notes

This recipe was made with two medium size chicken breasts. However you can easily double or triple it, depending on how many people you’re serving. Just make sure that the ratio of panko to bagel seasoning is equal.

The baking time will really depend on the size of your chicken pieces, and the number. Smaller pieces like tenders take less time than full size breasts. Keep that in mind as you bake the chicken, and just make sure it has reached a safe internal temperature. Nobody wants to eat medium-rare chicken! Stay safe and temperature check the chicken.

Normally I am a firm believer in seasoning my protein before dredging and coating, but in this case, skip it. Because the bagel seasoning has plenty of salt in it, and that will overpower the chicken if you add any additional salt or spices.

This is a perfect weeknight family crowd-pleasing recipe, because of the limited ingredients and time it takes to prep. Prepping food is generally the most time consuming portion of cooking a meal. In this case, it is just melting some butter and mixing two dry ingredients together.

Anyone at any skill level can make this dish. It is a great beginner recipe for kids who are wanting to learn how to cook as well.

Why I Love This Recipe

This everything bagel baked chicken is a favorite recipe of mine because it is so simple! It kind of reminds me of my parmesan dijon chicken recipe, but is even easier to make than that.

Lately I’ve been making more dinners at home during the week with my husband, Nathan, and am always on the hunt for simple recipes to do at night.

Nathan works two jobs, and is home for just a couple of hours in the evening in between. Which is the perfect time to make a late night dinner together, but I want something simple so I can relax and enjoy my time with him too.
